For 2 ½ days the NHASCD Board met in Portsmouth for their Annual Retreat. During that time members of the Board developed a strategic plan that will guide the organization and provide a blueprint of how NHASCD can best serve our membership. The Association’s plan is based on our mission to serve as a catalyst for conversation and action to promote quality education for all learners.

• GOAL 1: Increasing its contacts and visibility with Legislators, Associations,and professional organizations with the intent of influencing outcomes that support learning communities.
• GOAL 2: Becoming the “information conduit” for New Hampshire by becomingthe source people turn to when they have questions about education.
Programs, Products and Services
• GOAL 1: Providing quality professional development that gives educators effective strategies for innovation.
• GOAL 2: Sponsoring at least one PD event that addresses the needs of NH’s north country, urban and/or new teachers.
• GOAL 3 : Exploring the services of on-line courses and the development of NHASCD networks
Communications
• GOAL 1: Ensuring that 80% of our membership will define NHASCD’s communication as exemplary.
