Who We Are
NHASCD is the New Hampshire affiliate of the Association for Supervision and Development. The purpose of NHASCD is to serve as a catalyst for conversation and action to promote quality education for all learners. To accomplish this purpose, NHASCD focuses on five areas:
- Diverse, Active Membership
- Communication and Publication
- Programs, Products and Services
- Influence and Policy
- Leadership and Governance
We are a community of learners committed to enhancing teaching, learning, and leadership by reflecting on current educational research, by engaging in various forms of professional learning, and by providing a forum for non-partisan dialogue about education.
With over 800 members, NHASCD represents a diverse membership and through our programs we provide regular forums and networking opportunities to support professional growth at all levels of the educational community.
On an annual basis, NHASCD publishes an educational journal and a quarterly newsletter. These high-quality print publications keep members abreast of the most current educational practices, of NH legislative updates, and of upcoming NHASCD events.
NHASCD proudly sponsors Student Chapters at New England College, Plymouth State University and Southern New Hampshire University. The Student Chapter enhances the professional growth of New Hampshire's pre-service educators by involving them with members of the NHASCD community. Students receive opportunities to experience leadership, meet education professionals informally, participate in professional development programs, and develop contacts for internships and future career opportunities.
